I'm a Spanish/English literary translator and ghostwriter. My work has been published by the New Press, Columbia University Press, Amazon Crossing and Editorial RM, and in 2020 I received a PEN/Heim Grant and an English PEN Award for my translation of Lectura fácil by Cristina Morales, published as Easy Reading by Jonathan Cape/Random House in March 2022. Currently, I'm working on projects for HarperCollins, Daunt Books, and Deep Vellum. I have an M.A. in Hispanic Language and Literature and a B.A. in English Literature, both from Boston University, and I teach translation part-time at Lake Forest College and the University of Massachusetts Boston. You can see my full CV here.
Between literary projects, I take on commercial jobs for a variety of clients, with a focus on museums: my translations have appeared alongside exhibitions at the Prado Museum, the National Gallery of Art, the Vatican Museums, the Vienna Kunsthalle, the Phillips Collection, and the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao. I also head the FTrMP Project, an effort to make Spanish translations of vital migration paperwork available for free online. |
